The concert of the renowned French pianist, Richard Clayderman, accompanied by the Istgah orchestra, marked a significant musical milestone in Iran. This event spanned six nights in Iran’s largest and most well-equipped concert venue, the Ministry of Interior’s 2700-seat hall. The overwhelming response from the audience filled the venue to its capacity in no time, reflecting the immense interest in the performance.
Richard Clayderman, who has earned global recognition for his unique renditions and adaptations of famous songs from various regions, has recorded over 1300 melodies. He has developed a distinctive style rooted in the romantic school. By 2006, he had sold close to 70 million copies and had 267 gold and 70 platinum albums to his name. His popularity is particularly notable in Asia, and he is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as “the most successful pianist in the world”.
In 2019 Clayderman gave a successful performances alongside the Istgah orchestra. He has frequently lauded the quality and talent of the Istgah orchestra and has expressed his eagerness to perform with Istgah again.
