Istgah Orchestra’s 13th Anniversary Celebration

The Safir Istgah-e-Solh Cultural and Artistic Foundation, after thirteen years of active presence in Iran’s cultural and artistic landscape, decided to commemorate its 13th anniversary in 2022 with a special celebration. In recognition of its continuous and close collaborations with several embassies in the field of culture and the arts, a number of distinguished international guests were invited to the event.

The celebration was honored by the presence of ambassadors, including France, Australia, and Japan, as well as cultural attachés from Switzerland, South Korea, Turkey, Mexico, and Côte d’Ivoire — all attending at the highest levels of cultural representation.

The 13th-anniversary celebration of Istgah was structured as an immersive journey through four thematic “Istgah” of music:

  • Istgah One featured regional Iranian music,
  • Istgah Two focused on traditional Persian music,
  • Istgah Three presented classical repertoire,
  • and Istgah Four highlighted jazz.

Each musical segment was performed by some of the most accomplished musicians in Iran, offering guests a multi-layered experience of the country’s musical diversity.

The event received an overwhelmingly positive response from cultural figures, international guests, and supporters of Iran’s arts community. As a result, several new cultural and artistic projects were proposed by embassies in attendance, expanding the potential for future international collaboration. The celebration was held in the historic garden of Dr. Hesabi’s residence in Tehran.
